Hey, welcome back. Been a little while since I last wrote. It's been busy. Lots of stuff going on. Made a killer sauce and pizza over the weekend.

I've been getting into a lot of music lately, and I've been following the lyrics on several of the albums I have. Spent a lot of time with the new REM disc, "Up." I really dig the following song, and I am gonna let it speak for the last week.

Good afternoon, and Happy Veteran's day to you. Today is one of those anniversaries that we typically denote in our lives and mark off in our mental calendars as 'special.' Some years back, I was engaged to be wed on this day. Just sharing. Which is of course, the point

Today I have the new Rush Live CD playing. It is called Different Stages, and it is dedicated to the memory of Neil Peart's daughter and wife, who both passed recently. There is actually a third bonus disc, a recording of a live show they did in at the Hammersmith in Germany in 1978. I am looking forward to hearing that. I am sort of feeling this album was put out perhaps as closure to the Rush saga, a final goodbye. Geddy produced, not Rush, and other than song writing nods, the other guys are not featured or spoken of.

It's been a good day all around. After a slow start, I walked into work today and actually got a shot of something people who live south of here call "sunshine." Very nice. A beautiful fall day all around. It does something to your spirits. I found an old song called nothing on my hard drive, and two shorty poems called sunshine and night. So I spent a little time on them and cleaned them up, and here they are for your enjoyment.

Good afternoon! Happy Thursday! It's church night. Last couple of weeks I haven't been getting much sleep. Maybe 4 hours a night, tops. Craziness. Gotta do something about that. Well, nothing much new going down, but I thought that I would post a song I just wrote today. Click here to read Monkey.

Hey hey! I am having a great day today! Did everyone hear me on the radio this morning? It was about 7:50am. I called up Bob Wolf over at PYX 106 and won a phone in contest for Dave Matthews Tickets. Had a fun time at work this morning. I was on vacation all last week, so I came back in to the usual morning mess. Well, we had decided to drop a new cable to one of our servers that was choking on big packets, and when we went into the computer room to run the wire, we found that a small lake had appeared on our computer room floor. Though the disk drive lights reflecting in the pools of clear water were very pretty, this water/electricity combo is typically not condusive to proper computer room designs. I traced the source of the flow back to one of the air conditioners, and it turned out to be a clogged drainage line. Enter the wet vac and a bunch of Walmart $1.86 towels. All better. I had my tie off the whole day for that one.

I bought Bruce Springteen's "Darkness on the Edge of Town" CD at lunch time over at the used CD Store. I cranked "Badlands" all the way back to work. Woo hoo.

Got a phone call from a certain special Brother of mine. Early Christmas present for the Don this year. He got me a little house for my PA to live in. Thanks Bro!
