About Don

Don was born a poor black child in the hills of Japan. Well, ok, he was born in Japan. 30 years ago a little bundle of red headed joy was delivered unto proud parents Jake and Florence (names changed to protect the innocent) at the Camp Zama Army Hospital near Atsugi, Japan. It was a Thursday evening, and the weather was pleasant for a July day in the far East.

Don's favorite thing to do in this world is pack all of his stuff into little boxes and transport them thousands of miles, where they are routed to Cleveland via Pakistan and then immediately lost. A common descriptive used for Mr. Howe is "Military Brat." [At this time, the 'innocent' would like to make the distinction: "heavy on the Brat, and not so much on the Military part."]

Currently, Don lives and works in Upstate New York. He enjoys reading fiction, namely Tom Robbins, Hunter S. Thompson and Kurt Vonnegut. He plays bass guitar in his band and enjoys sailing, volleyball, tennis, and the usual yada yada yada. Don drinks only the healthiest of beers. Don has some boats that he likes to sit on when he drinks his beer, and a car that he doesn't drink beer in very often, but uses it to get to places where he can get beer.
